Preparing for What God has Prepared

When a child is born, preparation begins to make room for the new family addition.  We begin to examine if we are financially stable to take on such a responsibility.  Will we have enough room for this individual we are about to introduce into our lives?

Enlarge the place of your tent and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; spare not; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes, Isaiah 54:2 AMPC

On Day 20 of our time of prayer and fasting, this verse invites us to envision an image that goes beyond physical boundaries into the realm of personal growth and faith.

God often calls us to enlarge the place of our faith. Just as a tent expands to accommodate more people, God encourages us to embrace a faith that stretches beyond what you can see, a faith that believes in the promises of God even when circumstances seem limiting.

As you come to the end of your fasting time, God wants you to have a great hope and expectancy for what He is about to do.  He tells us what the future holds by saying get ready, stretch your vision, daring to believe for more than you can ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).  God's plans often go beyond what we can conceive.

The call to “spare not” is a challenge to not hold back but release your fears, doubts, and hesitations. God is inviting you to step boldly into His plans, unhindered by the limitations you might place on yourself.

James 2:26 says, “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”
The two go hand in hand. Faith = Action!!!

Get ready, the baby is on the way and it’s beautiful, healthy, and ready to thrive. The question remains; is there enough room for what God has prepared to do for you?

Prayer:   Father, I thank you for all that you are about to do in my life.  I open my heart to the call of enlargement, stretching my faith, widening my expectations, and releasing all that holds me back.   I pray that you will continue to prepare me as I prepare for what you are doing.  Remove anything that will keep me from being all that you are calling me to be.  My tent is being enlarged to make room for You.  In Jesus’ name!
