Cultivating an Awareness of God for a Better Life

In the busyness of our lives, it's easy to lose sight of the profound truth that God's awareness is constantly with us. Proverbs 15:3 reminds us that the eyes of the Lord are in every place, observing both the good and the challenging moments of our lives. Cultivating awareness of God's presence can lead to a better, more fulfilling life.

God promises us what we call today “a full life coverage” plan.  Just as Abraham, who is the father of faith based his belief in God, the promises we receive must be based on our trust and faith in Him.

Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham and said to him, “Abraham! “ And he said “Here I am” 2. Then He said “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love and go to the land of Moriah and offer him up there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I should tell you.                Genesis 22:1-2

Abraham had full awareness in God’s voice, learning and leaning on Him for the direction God wanted him to take for his family. Learning to hear God’s voice takes skill and development. Abraham was constantly before the Father praying which taught him how to discern the voice of God, which is a skill. John 10:27-30

When we live with an awareness of God's constant companionship, our perspectives shift. Challenges become opportunities for growth, and successes become occasions for gratitude. Cultivation takes time and it’s very intentional and personal.

Take moments throughout your day to pause and turn your thoughts to God.  During tasks or challenges, offer a brief prayer, inviting God's wisdom and guidance.

When we cultivate an awareness of God, you will be able to hear better, discern more and obey what He has said.

The Father gives us many examples throughout His Word of how His faithful servants responds to living a full life in Him.

Meditation Scriptures: Romans 1:17, Psalms 42:7-8

Prayer: Father, we thank you and we bless you for who You are. Faithful and true are You. There is no other God besides you, holy are You. Father, we thank you.  Just as you tried Abraham, you try us. To refine us and to turn us into Your image daily. Father, as we pursue You through Your Word, fasting and praying, let us be mindful and aware how wonderful it is to have a full life coverage in You. Father your love is forever present in our lives. Let us be connoisseurs to cultivate our walk with you, in Jesus name.
