Living for What Truly Matters

"But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." - Matthew 6:33

In the rhythm of our daily lives, it's easy to get caught up in the pursuit of countless demands, ambitions, and material desires. The world often urges us to measure success by external standards, encouraging us to pursue wealth, achievements, and recognition. However, as followers of Christ, we are called to a different perspective—a perspective that directs our focus to living for what truly matters.

Jesus, in His wisdom, reminds us in Matthew 6:33 to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. This is an invitation to align our priorities with God's values. It's a call to live in a way that reflects the love, grace, and transformative power of His kingdom.

What truly matters is not the accumulation of possessions, the praise of others, or the pursuit of worldly success. Instead, it's about cultivating a heart that seeks God above all else. Father, help us refocus our hearts and minds on what truly matters—Your kingdom and righteousness. In the midst of life's demands, guide us to prioritize love, and compassion. Teach us to seek Your will above our desires and to find joy in living according to Your values. I pray that our lives reflect the light of Your kingdom, and will draw others to Your transformative love.
