The Delivery System

Movement Monday

Theme: Your Body is a Delivery System

Scripture
"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own." —1 Corinthians 6:19 (NIV)

Devotional Thought

God didn’t make a mistake when He gave you your body. Whether you love it, tolerate it, or struggle with it, your body is not just an accessory to your spirit—it is the instrument through which your purpose moves.

Paul calls it a temple—not because it's flawless, but because it's inhabited. A temple isn’t powerful because of its architecture; it's sacred because of Who dwells inside. In the same way, your body carries the weight of divine purpose. It houses conversations, prayers, acts of service, and destiny-fulfilling steps.

But here’s the tension: how do we honor a body that sometimes hurts? Or one that’s slower than it used to be? Or one we’ve neglected?

The answer isn’t in shame. It’s in responsibility.  God is not asking for perfection—He’s asking for participation.  Move what you can. Nourish what you have. And do it not for performance or image.  God isn’t measuring your waistline or workouts; He is measuring you by your readiness for the assignment.

Remember, God doesn’t anoint ideas. He anoints people.  And those people carry His presence in physical form—through hugs, through steps, through lifted hands and whispered prayers.

Your body, imperfect as it may feel, is the chosen instrument of heaven’s intention.  It walks into rooms that need healing.  It speaks into lives that need direction.  It carries burdens. It lifts others. It kneels in surrender. It rises in strength.

So today, thank God for your body.  Not because it’s flawless, but because it’s faithful.  Not because it looks like someone else’s, but because it holds what only you can carry.

You are not just spirit—you are spirit and flesh, purpose and presence, called and carried.
And the same God who formed you is still fueling you.

Reflection Question

In what ways can I treat my body like a delivery system for God's purpose today?

Movement Options

Mobility-Friendly Option: “Seated Activation” (5–7 Minutes)

Perfect for limited mobility or recovery.

  • Arm Circles – 30 seconds each direction

  • Seated Marching – Lift knees alternately while seated (1 minute)

  • Neck & Shoulder Rolls – 30 seconds each

  • Deep Breathing with Raised Arms – Inhale arms up, exhale down (2 minutes)

  • Wrist & Ankle Rotations – Light circular motions (2 minutes)

Honor God with every breath and every joint that still moves.

Active Option: “Body Wake-Up Flow” (10 Minutes)

For those able to do standing movement.

  • Brisk March or Walk – 2 minutes

  • Bodyweight Squats or Chair-Assisted Squats – 15 reps

  • Arm Swings & Circles – 2 minutes

  • Standing Toe Touches & Side Reaches – 2 minutes

  • Walk Indoors or Outdoors – 3 minutes

💡 Don’t chase intensity—chase intentionality. Let every step say, “This body has purpose.”

Nutrition Focus:  Hydration & Whole Foods

Today, make two commitments:

  1. Hydration: Drink at least 16–20 oz of water when you wake up.

    • Add lemon or cucumber for flavor and cleansing support.

  2. Whole Food Choice: Choose one meal today that is free of processed foods.

    • Think: grilled chicken + greens, oatmeal + berries, or a smoothie with spinach, banana, and almond milk.

When you feed your body with what God made, you’re agreeing with His design.
